How to Unbrick Or restore the Bricked Mi Camera 360

Facing a constant yellow LED on your Mi 360 Camera? Here's the fix.

If your Mi 360 camera has stopped responding or is stuck with a solid yellow light, you're not alone. This issue often occurs when the camera firmware upgrade is interrupted either due to a sudden power outage or manually restarting the device during the update process.

The good news? This is a soft-brick issue and can be easily fixed by following a few simple steps outlined in this guide.

Note: 

This is only for Mi 360 surveillance camera and model is MJSXJ05CM.

Prerequisites:

1. Card reader and Pc or laptop

2. 2gb or 8gb or 16 gb card with FAT32 file format. This doesn't work with 32gb or 64gn cards.

3. Firmware file specific to MJSXJ05CM (global or China version based on serial). link shared

4. USB power adapter and cable to power the camera.

Step-by-Step Flashing Tutorial

1. Confirm the Issue

A steady orange/yellow light indicates the camera is bricked or paused during firmware update.

2. Format the SD Card to FAT32

Use your computer (Windows Disk Manager, Mac Disk Utility, or tools like MiniTool). Do not use exFAT.

3. Download the Correct Firmware

Visit trusted repositories for tf_recovery.img or tf_update.img. Ensure you match model and serial region.

4. Copy Files to SD Card and place the firmware in the root directory of the FAT32 SD card. Name it tf_update.img or tf_recovery.img as needed.

5. Flash the Firmware

Power off the camera →

Insert SD card

Power on camera →

LED stays yellow for 3–10 min → 

Camera rotates and LED blinks blue.

6. Reboot & Setup

Power-cycle the camera 

→ Open Mi Home app 

→ Scan QR code 

→ Re-add the camera.

Troubleshooting: 

Reformat SD, retry, or try another SD card brand. Confirm firmware matches region.

LED sticks on yellow with no movement?

Remove SD → Press reset until announcement → Power-cycle → Reinsert SD.

LED blinks blue but app won’t connect?

Likely region/firmware mismatch. Try using global firmware version.

Why This Works

The camera’s bootloader checks the SD card during startup. Finding a firmware file triggers a TF update process (an SD-based recovery mode), replacing the internal firmware.

The process completes when the camera rotates and LED status changes.

• Due to Dirty Flash from Zui or from COS/CyanogenMOD but suddenly Boot-loader gets locked (

I flashed ZUI 2.5 using QPST then unlock bootloader using official site installed twrp after wiping cache system and data , Installed Lineage 0S JAN Build then without rebooting installed Lineage Nightly build (Latest) with Gapps After rebooting Phone goes into Restart endless loop on ZUK Logo. Blink and Vibrate/

HOW TO FIX ENDLESS REBOOT ON ZUK Logo ?

• -> Identity vibrate patterns (Press Power Key I assume count 6- 7 Vibration pattern ) After long Vibrate immediately remove finger from power key.

• ->Once its Done (Phone completely off)

• Download QPST and Official COS QPST from this Link

• Main Task is here and Lots of Patience is required and You also need to be very Blazing fast to achieve this.

• -Once you download and install Qpst open Qfil 

• -Now press Volume Up only and connect USB (Just press only for 1 sec It will vibrate and connect)

• -Without waiting hit Download button.

• -Voila It will start flashing your phone again and Hence Your phone is now Revive..

• -Once Revive You can use it to again flash custom Rom or stick to stock Rom if you want.

• Keep Flashing !!!

• Patience is Key here. And Don't lose hope.

*BONUS* My Bricking Story And yes its very Heartbreaking.

• I was planned to install Lineage Os on ZUK Z1 as I am very tired and its seems very booring using same OS from 9 months so far. So wanted to taste new OS. As I heard from Lineage OS community that ZUK Z1 is officially supported I was very happy to installed this. But deu to too much data and My USB Mass Storage also not working as expected so I kept my self holding.
• Yesterday While I was moving Files from my phone to Laptop due to loose USB port my DCIM completely Lost. Tried Everything to restore it using various software but no luck. I leave it and forgot. Anyways..
• Now around 6 pm Saturday 22/04/2017 I unlocked ZUK bootloader (Note: All data will wiped If you're unlocking bootloader) And Installed TWRP for First time on this phone.
• Install CM 13 based NuclearRom with RA kernel. Installed then Downloaded Lineage OS 7.1.1 -> Wiped Data -> Wiped System and -> Wipe dalvik.
• Voila I am on CM 14.1 7.1.2 Lineage OS after New Build.
• Problem faced: 2nd SIM Call Selection Grayed Out.
• As On XDA mentioned you need to first installed CM 13 before going on 14.1 or Install Official 2.5 ZUI to resolved Network Issue.
• I was wondered to see that I installed CM13 But why its not working I dont even realized that I Wiped System partition also. Which may caused this issue.
• So to fix this issue I installed ZUI using QPST system image and OS was very fluid all Network Issue resolved and 2ND sim was working fine.
• Sadly this rom was totally Chinese and Due to Google Contact integration and Forced stopped Google apps. I was very disappointed, Then I took a wrong decision to Unlock bootloader and go back to Lineage os . Its almost 2 AM sunday 23/04/2017
• I will give special award to Developer.zuk.com Most pathetic site.
• My unlock bootloader file was stuck on there end due to email problem (Google mail not allowed  )
• I found one account on XDA with Password to resolved this issue I am not able to recall that link. Then open Developer.zuk.com with that account and entered Outlook email then after singin voila bootloader unlock is mailed in Junk/spam folder.
• After that I unlocked my bootloader installed twrp right away without reboot
• I push Android roms to my internal SD Card using 
• Adb push -p ROM.zip /sdcard/Roms
• All ROM and Gapps are in placed.
• Installed both roms and bricked my device.
• Now you can scroll down to see error and how to fix.
• LOL!
